Rider down: Weber (Near King) Waterloo

Just drove past a crashed bike, a green ZX6R by the looks of it.

No sign of the rider, police on scene.

    Hope you're ok.

You mind me asking what happened?

Glad you're ok. The bike can be replaced your life and limbs can't.

there was a guy that was wanting to race beside me in a car in the other lane, every time i'd speed up to get infront of him or slow down to get behind him he would do the same. there was a schoolboard van well ahead of me in my lane making a right turn into the school, but he went to make the turn and stopped to let a pedestrian cross the sidewalk, unfortunately i decided to look down at my speed and when i looked up i saw the van had come to a complete stop. i put the brakes on, looked beside me and that same ******* (pardon my french) was still beside me so i couldn't change lanes. when i got close to the van i dumped the bike and it slid under the van while i continued to fly through the air about 30 feet beside the van in the other lane where the ******** was. good thing he saw what was happening and slammed the brakes on. i ended up about 40 feet infront of the accident on the road. my only injuries were my right leg, hip, and pelvis were extremly bruised. i didn't decide to wear my leathers that day and fortunately i ended up with no road rash on my upper body. i also was contemplating wearing shorts that day. good thing i didn't or injuries would have been way worse.

Glad you decided not to wear shorts. It sucks wearing full gear on the hot days but that is more then often the day when something goes wrong.
I hate jerks who do this. Whether they are in a car or on another bike, When I see that I just want to throttle them.

yeah, i used to get that all the time when i was riding. The funny thing is that when the guy in that lane ran up to me on the ground to see if i was ok, i remember him saying "Don't worry buddy, I didn't see anything, I got your back...." I'm thinkin...yeah you dumb ****, u just don't want people to say that u were being a dumb ***. all in all i got charged with careless but it's being fought. and now i start saving for a new bike because io didn't have collision. next bike will have collision.

Glad to hear you are ok, bikes can be replaced.

Practise threshold braking with the new bike (very few people practise this enough), your bike should remain upright until you hit to scrub as much speed as possible.

At least he stopped to see if you were ok. Most wouldn't do that. Glad you're ok.
