Good solid finish for him, seems he was having problems all weekend so finishing 10th is a decent result.

What the deal with winner Petrucci, second and half quicker in qualifying and a full second faster in the race than anyone else.

Brett has been testing some WSBK bikes for the Media but because he did some impressive laps on Checa's Ducati, the Effenbert Ducati team let him have an official test (30 laps) on their bike. Brett clearly making the most of his opportunities (who wouldn't!)

He is now officially on the WSBK Testing time sheets as seen here.

Race pace for the Portimao round was 44's by the way....and that's what he ran during the test...

On the other hand. Laverty and Rea posted blistering 42's in their first test on the '12 bikes. But McCormick really impressive on the '11 bike and first time on it.

I wonder now if he Effenbert will send him an offer. And what Brett's deal with the Garner Alpha Superstock BMW squad is

Well he's riding in MotoGP next year that's the deal now! He'll be on a Suter-BMW CRT with Ioda racing.

WSBK is looking very good though. Althea has expanded their team to two riders (wow you don't hear that in racing much anymore), signing Guigliano. Davies on the parkinGo Ducati. So the grid should be at the last the same size as this year, as those two riders have covered for the yamaha pull out. Still need to see about Alstare Suzuki though. If someone fields the Yamaha's and Suzuki can field a rider (Hopper?) that'd be an amazingly full and fast grid.

Good for Brett. I doubt he'll have a CSBK to come back to next year... hopefully he can find a ride out of all this.
