Cop selling pot while on duty

"Defence lawyer Vince Michaels asked that Hodson serve his time under house arrest so he can provide for his wife and four children."


"The court was told that at the time Hodson began selling pot on the job, he was married with three children and had another on the way. He was also having two affairs. His wife had learned about them and kicked Hodson out of the family home, so he was experiencing financial difficulties."

How did this guy get past the screening process? I thought you had to have a brain.

While I have a pretty liberal view on pot, this is definitely a serious breach of trust - using his position to augment an illegal source of income. Whole lot of bad optics and definitely deserves a bit of jailtime for that. Mostly it pisses me off is that now you're gonna have a whole bunch of punks mouthing off to honest cops going about their jobs with "why don't you sell me a bit of pot instead, you *farm animal*?" Definitely gonna make their jobs more difficult.

You've apparently never seen the show COPS. Clearly shows brains are optional for most of them. lol
