Some people do completely absurd things against the natural drive of self-preservation, motivated by completely absurd reasons. I may never understand.

Isn't riding a motorcycle 'against the natural drive of self-preservation'? You're in a unenclosed vehicle that can go 200km/h and the only shock absorption you have in a crash is some air time and then your body. Also people often enter this sport motivated by either thrill or vanity.

Yes, it is a risk. Would you like a list of riders killed trying to run from cops? Riders injured? Riders jailed? Each one thought they had what it takes to successfully get away, yet didn't.

And for what? To avoid a traffic ticket? Darwin will take care of the fools and defectives in the gene pool. Some riders go to great lengths to audition for Darwin.
