    Monday morning, Peterborough rider killed

    Police identify motorcyclist in Monday's fatal crash on County Road 2

    Peterborough County OPP have identified the motorcyclist killed in a Monday morning crash on County Road 2 near Hiawatha Line as 48-year-old Charles Flood of Peterborough.

    Police said Mr. Flood's westbound motorcycle left the roadway for unknown reasons before coming to rest in the north ditch. Police were called to the scene at about 10:45 a.m.

    Mr. Flood was pronounced dead at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

    Technical traffic collision investigators attended the scene and the investigation is continuing, police said.
