    Vintage trackday

Well we are at it again on sept 17th at TMP , we are having our vintage trackday .
It is open to all years of bikes though we do prefer 1989 or older but it is not
    written in stone .
A good day for begginer riders and begginers on the track .
We have a slow parade lap tipe group which is good for begginer riders and has some very nice
    old machinery .
A slow group great for the begginer on the track , medium fast for the faster riders who dont quite race
and faster vintage bikes and our fast group fpr the racers and the fast bikes .
The cost is $125 for the day , for more info email me David Howarth at cvmgtrackdays@hotmail.com

Hope to see some of you guys and girls out there .

1989 and older... Hmmm maybe I can find some older fairings to put on my 2003 R1??
Would like to attend but my bike doesn't seem to pass the age test... how loose are the rules?

maybe I should bring out my CB for this. What are the rules for gear? same as a normal track day?

It will be the same as any other track day. Safety 1st. People should not assume because these bikes and some of the rides are "Vintage" that the pace will be pedestrian. There are some fast bikes and riders that race in the VRRA. You may be very surprised.

Gear is not as strict as a regular track day. Slow group allows 2-piece unattached nylon pants and jacket as minimum along with the usual boots, gloves, helmet.

    Re: Vintage trackday

There are 4 groups from parade lap slow to racer fast .
Groups 1 ans 2 are the slower groups and balistic nylon gesr is permitted
or full leathers ofcoarse , leather boots that go past the ankles , leather gloves
and ofcoarse a full face helmet .
Groups 3 and 4 are the faster groups leathers only 1 piace or 2 piece but the 2 piece
must zip together , boots , gloves and full face helmet .
As for bikes there is no restriction to age of bike , if we did that i wouldnt be able to fill the day
    I myself have a 93 gsxr600 track bike , working on a caferacer .

It gives riders a chance to see a little piece of motorcycle history , it is a fun relaxed day at the track
anyone from this site who has been out willl agree .

    Thanks Dave

Another CVMG day that i have to pass on....Baaah! I highsided the Muffin at Calabogie a few weeks ago,and it'll be spring before it's trackworthy again.
But i might come down on the wing and be part of the peanut gallery.
