Umm, why not take the bus or rent a car. It's not far away...

u need to book well in advance to save any money on flights. Also, don't expect to save much on domestic flights and forget about last minute flights...

It's honestly hit or miss. When I used to travel standby, I'd get on flights 5 times in a row with no wait-a couple of hours waiting. But this one time, I was stranded in Japan for a week.

    Check porter!

I flew from Ottawa to TO for free in first class on my way home from Afghanistan!

Was just supposed to be a regular flight, but some random guy saw me in my Tans and figured I was coming home. He came up to me with a ticket for the Air Canada lounge (which is absolutely friggin awesome!) and then they girls at the desk in the Lounge upgraded my seat for free to first class! Spent the flight sleeping off the beer from the lounge (hits you hard after a few months of no Alcohol lol)

to be honest, flying to Ottawa is kinda weird as you end up saving no time.

check in hour before departure, half an hour flight, half an hour to depart and get your luggage. and thats IF everything goes according to plan. If flying during busy time, add another 20 min to that just to get through security.

you're half way to Ottawa by the time all that happens. I'd rather drive to Ottawa or Montreal.
