Great trip - 9 days - lots of twisties in NY, PA, MD, WV, VA

Just got back from a great 9 day trip through the mountains etc in the US. Lots of great roads (and a few rutted goat paths) and breathtaking scenery! There was between 5 - 7 hours of ride time each day with water/stretch breaks every hour or so (and lunch of course!) Started out at 9 am each day and quit around 4 pm most days. Stayed in some great hotels too!

From Hinton WV, some of the guys in the group took quite a roundabout route through the Hungry Mother State Park... and they just raved about it - they all said it was better than the Dragon's Tail!!! Here is that route (zoom in to see the road through Hungry Mother - wow!) - Show on Google Maps

Overnight stops....

Day 1 - Corning NY
Day 2 - Selinsgrove PA
Day 3 - Hagerstown MD
Day 4 - Morgantown WV
Day 5 - Hinton WV
Day 6 - Beckley WV
Day 7 - Harrisonburg VA
Day 8 - Brookville PA
Day 9 - Back home in Toronto.. whew!!

How did you like 16 from Marion to Tazewell? It looks like you didn't continue on 16 all the way north. It is really awesome pretty much all the way up. Try some roads in SE Ohio....555.. 536....147.....260...26 ect,ect...ect...

Coming home from the BRP and Deals Gap 2 weeks ago - we also took 16 north from Marion. Amazing road, almost as good as "the dragon" if it were not for the gravel spilled onto a few of the corners.
