Rookie Rider looking for a good starter, practise, short tour in Scarborough area

    Hey guys!

Just wondering if anyone has any idea of where a new, rookie rider, in the scarborough area can get her bearings on her new bike. I'd prefer a shorter tour, just to get started, preferably on an easy riding, low traffic route. I'm not from the Scarborough area, thus, making this venture a little more difficult.

Thanks for any and all responses!

If you live in a residential area I would start out there as it's not as bad to go slower until you get more comfortable. I know of others that take their bike to an empty lot like a school after hours and practice there.

I just practiced around my neighborhood for a week and as I got more comfortable I ventured out to main roads. When I was ready and wanted to go on a longer ride I just picked a major road by my house and went North for about an hour then came back.
