Heroes Highway Ride June 4th, 2011 - Support Our Troops!

Yes I was on the 650r. A ton of bikes!!!!

I feel humbled and privileged to have participated in the ride today. Despite the bitter cold and being soaked to the bone I am really glad that I went. It was really awesome to see people lined up onthe 401 overpasses and roadsides waving the Canadian flags, waving to the riders and giving thumbs up. Its an experience I'll never forget. I also spotted two Durham Police Officers at the bottom of an on-ramp, they used their vehicles to block traffic from getting on the highway; but the part that really struck me was that they stood at the roadside saluting all of the riders who passed - nice to see an effort on their part to make a classy gesture!
