should have been fine, especially if you let ir warm up good cuz the filter will take a good chunk of it.

So i did my r1 oil change (asks 3.1L with filter change in the manual)
I put around 3.05 L in and it shows as too much....
I ran the bike for several minutes to warm up the oil and change the oil on a stand. How was the oil check window full?
I had to drain some oil and now it shows correctly.
I checked the oil by running the bike for several minutes, letting it stand for a few and checked on a level surface while it was straight.
Anyone know why the required oil was too much? 2004 r1.

Too much old oil not drained?
It's supposed to be on the kick stand when it drains, i try to lean it over a bit further to get more oil out.
