A Kitchener man was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash west of Guelph.
It happened on Highway 7 around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Police say a pick-up truck and a car slowed to a stop.
A motorcycle, which was behind them, couldn't stop in time.
The motorcycle hit the car, and then veered into the opposite lane, hitting another motorcycle.
A car following the second motorcycle hit the other car, which caused that car to hit the pick-up.
The driver of the first motorcycle was thrown onto the road.
31-year-old Christopher Buck was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the second car was charged with careless driving.
I don't get it but if the 2nd car was the one following the 2nd motorcycle and I'm assuming he swerved to avoid hitting the 2 motorcyclists that collided and instead hit the 1st car that slowed down than he should be a hero. But if he ran over the 2 motorcyclists he wouldnt be charged with careless driving. What a wonderful system.
Ironically same thing happened to me today and I was thinking if I didn't stop I would be dead. I was behind a car getting ready to merge onto the highway and there was easily a huge gap for the car to merge onto but he just suddenly stops. As I'm accelerating and checking over my left shoulder I suddenly stopped and I see a car behind me stop as well.
