Absolutely epic! I'm so jealous of you right now. I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through you.

By the way, I think the screen on your Garmin is starting to go. The speed is coming out all wonky. :P

Could not find any sound settings in the manual. If you have the open back you get better sound but it wont be water proof anymore

You got some great distance yesterday, the spot tracker is awesome

Today you'll pass near Badlands National Park, 120km before Rapid City. You'll miss a lot if you won't drive through the park.

After you stop at Mount Rushmore, next stop is Wyoming. Watch your speed there - desolate roads, wide open and flat land. The perfect place to have a Trooper catch you doing excessive speeds (ask me how I know).

FYI we are having near record heat in SoCal, that will warm you up.

This map is available at any visitor center around Black Hills:

While at Crazy Horse, you should check out 87 at Needles, it's a fantastic road.

Grounded in south dakota. 60mph head/cross winds. Crossing over the center line and hitting the rumble strips did it for me. Hopefully it will let up soon

Ouch, the old man up stairs is testing ya. Very smart for stopping though, props for that, no need to be a warrior and end up in a ditch.

I took a look aound 1880s town while i was here its still snowing but nothing is on the ground. The wind is still strong but has let off a little bit. Im gonna brave it out to the nearest town which is 20 miles west. Taking the service road to keep the speed down. 75 is too fast with the wind. Ill update when i get to the motel. At least ill have time to upload videos
