There's usually a couple times a year that there's a Ganaraska run with people on this site.

Knobbies are recommended. That being said I did it in 2009 with 50/50 tires and my stepfather (newbie) did it last year on the the stock Trailwings, but he had some difficulty. What kind of tires do you have now?

For gear: Dress for the weather. The more armor, the better of course. If you don't have full gear a pair of sturdy boots and some knee/elbow protection should be good.

I have some street tires on right now, not sure what brand, I'll check later. But I have another set of tires that are street legal dirt. They are Trak Master K760 SX.

I just got back from the final pre-ride. The route is 100% done as far as I'm concerned. It's a great route with a good mixture of terrain. Thanks to crazyfrog over at the ODSC for coming up with it.

I have the GPS file in .gpx format if anyone wants it. Just pm me with your email address and I'll send it off to you.

I found the 760 not to be a good mud or sand tire, but the 770 to be a better tire for what you will encounter on the Bethany ride.

Weather looks like it's going to be AWESOME! Plus, I'm sure the weather over the last couple of days has made the terrain a little more "interesting."

I remember having breakfast at the meeting spot for the 2k10 ride - watching big fat flakes of snow fall followed by light rain. Although no one wanted to admit it, we would have MUCH preferred the type of weather forecasted for this Saturday!!!!

Please take lots of video and pictures - I'm very upset I can't make it this year
