Try mixing different thickness of steel plates.
you probably have 7, 2.3mm plates(this is oem config) which offer little to no slip.
try using 4, 2.3mm steels and 3, 2mm steels, this will give intermediate slip(kinda like a 05-06 GSXR slipper clutch)
if that doesn't provide enough slip, try using 2, 2.3mm steels and 5, 2mm steels,
You'll want to use the race kit clutch springs doing this(they're available from any kawi dealer)
........ Freddie's 1984 Daytona winner ........."trick........" you have NO idea how trick they where at that time (compared to the "street bike") gear driven cams, Ti rods/valves, Magniesium carbs, close ratio gearbox, "DRY" clutch ....... had one of the "kit" motored factory chassis bike "back in the day" was a blast to ride ...... but, back to the subject in hand "1000's are cool..."BG
Just finished reading this thread. Interesting stuff.
So, do you (experienced and racer) guys think that traction control on a litre bike can only be a good thing on the track. Esp for the lesser experienced riders?
.
I used to ride a gsxr600 on the track and have recently upgraded to S1000RR. I feel faster and safer on the S1000RR in every situation. I have lots of seat time at the track and on the road. Traction control on the S1000RR on the track is awesome. Smooth as silk and has improved my lap times.

stop spreading the truth or i'll have nothing to read and laugh at
I bought a sv1000 as it was the best deal i could find on a track bike when i was shopping. I'm a track noobie and i don't care about going fast in the straights and you can see that when i ride.
I want to learn the lines first and then have the speed catch up to me once i've learned them properly.
Reciprocity is one person i would listen to as he has probably forgot more then i know about riding and no he didn't pay me to say it.
