Getting into dirt bikes..

Hey guys,

I currently have my M2 and own an FZ6R (600cc sport tourer) that I just bought. I'm very comfortable on the roads, and would not like to play around on some trails/courses. What bike do you suggest to start off?

Criteria:

-Used!
-Honestly $3k is the absolute max, but the lesser the better (just bought the FZ6R so money isn't exactly free flowing haha)
-I'm 6'0 and 190lbs
-I'm more focused on playing around, I won't be getting into racing (and if I ever do it'll be at least a year or two away and at that point I'll get a 450cc or something)
- I've read that 125-250cc is my range and that either a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke will do (for me..)

Remember I'm just tinkering around - getting used to dirt, gravel, etc (figure it'll be fun whilst making me a better rider for both dirt and road biking)


So what models of dirt bikes would you suggest?

I've pretty much forgotten the idea of getting something decent for $1500, hence why I've raised it a bit..
