Hey guys,
Wondering if you could help me out here.
I'm down to two different bikes and I'm looking for some advice on which to choose.
The first is a '94 CBR with 60,000 km's on it!
The other is a '91 Ninja 500 with 20'000 km's on it.
I've riden both, I like both. I'm actually leaning towards the CBR but the KM's scare me.
Any suggestions?
Yes both have been checked out and I would be comfortable riding both. The CBR seems to fit my frame a bit better though - I'm 6'2" 230lbs. The prices are comparable - both under 3 grand. I was set on the Ninja until the CBR became available and now I'm stuck again
the 500r will be much more forgiving then the cbr. better for a first bike but the cbr will bring you more seasons and more fun.

2004 Suzuki GSX600 Katana (SOLD)
2001 Kawasaki ZZR250 Ninja (SOLD)
Based on the age of each bike i would think they will both be forgiving. Sounds like it'll be your first bike.
Honestly, go with what you preferred, and enjoyed riding, your going to anyway
Wow, thanks for the quick responses everyone!
This site really is great for newbies like me, so it is greatly appreciated.
The insurance is actually a LOT better then I was expecting on the 600.
First year riding, and it's under $1800, I'm actually pretty happy.
I don't know if they are the only company that does it but even if so, they still do it. So with Jevco the difference would be minor and they do offer some of the best rates for non-SS bikes.
I definitely got better quotes than with TD, and I was getting quoted on numerous bikes ranging from 250 to 1000cc throughout last 3 years.
For SS, one is pretty much stuck with StateFarm.
I am paying 40 something dollars a month with Jevco, for a SV650, one way, no accidents. 32 years old though. CBR would be in the same range.
