    St. Party's Day: DVP

    Folks,

Rode back from L&L and the DVP is a disaster zone. Major accidents on both sides.

Suggest avoiding it altogether if possible, but if you take it, ride safe!

edit: St. Patty's Day. Stupid auto correct...

I was on my way home from work when it was clogged. Didn't get a good look at it, how serious was it?

The southbound side had something to do with a big rig (was being towed away and a BIG stretch of the DVP there was closed off.) The northbound side was a mess south of the 401, saw a car in the guard rail. Cops and firetrucks at both scenes, and a number of cops on the highway along the way.

Stupid you get one accident cus of something someone did silly and then you get a second because of rubber necking.

Lol. There were multiple times yesterday I was tempted to split... Good thing we didn't though, there was an OPP cruiser about 4 or 5 cars ahead of us during most of that traffic jam.

Dunno if I'd ever actually lane-split, mostly for legal reasons and especially on a highway, but man it's times like those I wish it was actually legal.

Heh, I commend your bravery (and brains for not riding drunk.). But I would NEVER leave my bike downtown/anywhere further than a block from where I am.. Too paranoid it'd get stolen or vandalized.
