    Hi there, new to Canada

    Hi,

I am Nikola from Serbia and sorry if my english is too bad. I am still in here, waiting for all papers to be sorted and all permisions to be given. My plan is to move to Toronto in summer, actualy my wife and I. I am biker here, the most chaleging decision to be made for me was to sold my bike here, becouse I needed money for immigration proces. So this one will bi my sadest season, first one without a bike for years . But I have a goal to follow . I intend to get a bike as soon i get there and looking forward enjoying roads in Canada very much

Uhmmm.. For something in English.. Welcome aboard! Have you been planning on getting a specific bike? How did you get your wife to ride with you? Mine's mortally afraid of the bike

Ok, my wife is full about bike, thats a blasing to me, goes all rides with me. About a bike, i had Super Tenere 750 here, maxi enduro bikes are best choice for me, becouse i am 205 cm tall. Posibilities i am concidering are big tourers, like CBF 1000 or big cruiser, like Vulcan or something. Best choice would be GS 1100 (1200 to expencive) od KTM 900. Will see

Drago mi je da vec naleteh na nekog svog druze, nadam se da bajker ima cemu da se nada tu u Kanadi? Dobar savet to za osiguranje, u kojoj formi bih mogao traziti to ovde, kad dodje vreme? Npr izjavu osiguravajuce kuce d anisam imau udese i kazne i slicno?

Thanx all for welcoming us, looking forward to met you!

Occasional touring is OK here, but you are always worrying about getting ticketed. When driving in Serbia, I generally stick with the speed limits as they're usually set close to where they should be. In Ontario, I routinely do 20-30km/h over the limit and there are many places where even that is too low. For the declaration from the insurance firm, you should post a separate thread in the Insurance forum here. I came here at the age of 14, so I never had to go through that process.
Another bike to consider would be V Strom..

It seems to be in line with your style of riding. Once I save up a bit of money, I'm planning on getting a track bike, maybe even a dirt (motocross) bike for trail riding, and I'd only keep a little 250 for occasional street use.

    Thank you all!

I hope there will be some kind of beer welcoming tradition...

About my bike, well because of economic reasons, we ride much older bikes then you do. But, this is a great bike, wouldn't have anything against having it there, great millage coverage without any back-pains or something, durable, as it sort say - enduro bike.
