    Ninja 250 Insurance

    Hello,

What sort of monthly payment should I expect for a 2008 Ninja 250? I am looking for full coverage.

    Info:
    Age 22
GM2 with over six years driving experience and rider training
    1 speeding ticket
It's just the bike I'm insuring. No bundles with cage/house etc. All I have is the bike :P

Yes, I know I should call and I've already started doing that. I am wondering if the quotes that I am getting is what everyone usually gets in their first year.

Thanks in advance for any help you will be providing....

Do a Primmum on line quote and go from there. If speeding ticket is less than 3 years ago it will effect rate, also your age is going to bite you. I pay $335 total, all coverage for mine but being 66 has its advantages as well as years of riding.

Your best bet would probably be with Jevco.

I am 21 and have my GM2. I also have my car with my insurance co. as well so that gives me a discount. Last year I had an 09 Ninja 250 and paid $58/month with StateFarm for full coverage.

Im getting similar quotes for the combined bike insurance with state farm. But how much is the car insurance per month? And why is that they cannot give people those prices outright?

    Re: Ninja 250 Insurance

    Thanks for all the replies.

The ticket was less than 3 years ago and I know it'll affect my rate. I don't have anything to bundle with the bike to get discounts.

Already called Jevco and did Primmum and the quotes are high.

Allan, $68/month is an amazing quote and compared to that, I'll be getting ripped off. But I don't have anything I can give Statefarm to pair with the bike

I am just looking to get an idea of what rate I should expect per month.

First year riding you're looking at about 3000 bucks for the year. Jevco takes it in 4 consecutive payments, TD/Primmum you pay for the year over a 7-8 month period whereas SF is monthly. You'll be best off going with Jevco. first year I was 19 paid 3400, second year 2200 lets see what I get this year, and its all full coverage.

Same reason the other companies can't?

1.) State Farm's low motorcycle rates are likely a loss leader in order to attract your other business (such as car, home, life, etc.)

2.) Because people who own both a bike and a car claim less on both the car and the motorcycle.

    What exactly are the quotes?

I have yet to call Jevco but I got an online quote of $2120 for the year.
    I'm 20 with a GM2 and 2 accidents, 0 tickets.

And btw, aren't you selling the Ninja?

If you get a quote with statefarm without any other vehicles (ie. no multi vehicle discount, please post it as i am curious of what it would be) I am 20 with G2M2, M2 for one year now. I am paying 1850 this year for my 2009 ninja 250 through primmum, and i got a quote of 1810 with jevco (through john duffy). i was with primmum last year and the savings going to jevco doesnt seem worth switching for now so im sticking with primmum this year again.

You wont be able to go with statefarms as they require you to be licensed for at least 5 years starting with your G1.

To the OP: I paid $2800/year for my first year with TD but i'm going to move to statefarms for sure this year as i am going to be eligible and i have my car with them.

How in the world did you get $62/month for car insurance at the age of 21??? I'm 21 and with statefarms and i pay $3600/year with all discounts included. and the Ninja 250 will cost roughly $100/month.

That's crazy.. I was about $100/month when I was 20 but when I hit 21 it dropped ~$35 a month. I'm located in Kingston, so I'm sure that plays a big role
