    I told her no worries.

She did say however that we could begin unloading bikes etc, parking trucks and trailer, and put our stuff into garage or under the carport till she is done cleaning.
    Unload and ride!!!

We get to Fontana early Sunday morning but I don't think we can check in until the afternoon. So we're going to unload and do some easy cruising that day.

Well, we're leaving Saturday morning, so we won't be there until Sunday at the latest anyway.

Shoot me a PM with your cell # so we can txt you....that way if anything happens on the way down you can let us know.

Last yr a rider who rode his bike down, fell, just 1 mile from the house and we had no idea. We all could have gone and helped him out.

    It's carbed...07 KTM 950 SM.
At the very least, carbs are coming out and getting a thorough cleaning, jets and all. At most, jet kit installed.

Is it too late to buy a new bike and just return it after the week is over?

LOL almost actually. I took my bike to work and GP bikes today, for 180 km. Right footpeg is all good now, and so is the turn signal. Picked up some saddlebags and a tank bag. Anyway, the forks are a LITTLE twisted. I did try to fix it, but I couldn't loosen the triple clamp bolts. Gonna try again tomorrow. Then, all that's left is oil & filter change, check fluid levels, lube the chain, and check tire pressures.

Oh and pack. God I hate packing, I always forget something.

If you don't have a stem stand or can't hang the top triple from the rafters of a garage or barn by straps, you can just try loosening the bolts on the lower triple clamp, then with the wheel locked between your legs, twist the bars the opposite way that they are twisted. Sit on bike and eyeball it. Twist more until it is straight. Then with front brake on, bounce front suspension up and down as much as you can. This often helps to put the forks back in their naturally aligned position, provided they are just twisted and not bent.

They're definitely not bent, just twisted. I have a stem stand, so that's not the problem. I couldn't loosen the bolts on the lower triple clamp, they were on too tight. Mind you, I was using a T-handle hex wrench. Going to grab a socket bit that fits and try that.
