Think your jeans will save you? Think again

Admittedly I do ride with jeans on short rides around the area but usually ride in full gear. This guy looks like he was going around 50, slammed on his front brakes, and lowsided. Knee didnt fare too well in jeans.

Warning- you'll see a bloody knee, but nothing too bad.

I know someone who went down at 180 in jeans. Let's just say it didn't go well.

I wonder how is ankle is doing from just wearing those runners.
Not wearing gear while riding is like unprotected sex. Sooner or later you're going to get a rash!

Mustve stabbed the front brake. There wasn't eenough lean going on there to overdo it, even on touring tires. Unless there was something on the road (coolant, recent windshiled washer mist, sand)

Anyone tried those Kevlar (don't know if I spelled that right) jeans? I saw a video of a guy being dragged on his butt behind a truck and not a thread outta place. I think they were called dragging jeans or something like that. Any thoughts?

having the jeans not shred is as important as the heat transfer through the material...road rash is burnt flesh mostly, not just scraped...

I was on a ride a year or two ago where someone went down in the rain at around that speed wearing textile pants and it still ripped right thorough that and his jeans. It depends on how you fall and how lucky/unlucky you are.

Impact is impact. I would only assume you'd get bruised and baged up, but how was it? Was it more of a slide then a tumble? I guess its still better then regular jeans. I was thinking of getting a pair and some under armor that I've seen at the bike show.

They seem to insist on banging into that railing on Mulholland again and again. What is it with that corner? I'd like to ride that road sometime myself and see. Hey wait, I have to go to LA next month. I'll put my money where my big mouth is.

I have the Draggin jeans, but thankfully no test results to date. But they are loose enough to get knee pads underneath.

    don't forget the helmet cam!
It's the Least I Could Do

This motorcycle is simply too goddamn fast to ride at speed in any kind of normal road traffic unless you're ready to go straight down the centerline with your nuts on fire and a silent scream in your throat.

Draggin Jeans are no leathers, I have seen pictures of them burned right through. Marginally better than regular jeans for twice the price imo.

I cringed the first 7 seconds into the video. Didn't hang around to watch the aftermath.

I purchased KNOX knee armour and they fit good under my Draggin Jeans.
