    2005 c50t vs 2009 c50t

    Hi there!

I am trying to differentiate between the 2. I am interested in technical differences (although I can google these) and in the "feeling" that both offer (thank one is harder to google )

I was able to find that the 2005 has 14 cc more and 40 kg less than the 2009...
Does the 2009 have dual spark plugs?

So C50T owners, shoot your thoughts!

    Cheers!

If you're looking for the people with the most experience on these bikes try the Suzuki Marauder/Intruder Group at migcruisers.com
Takes a bit to learn how to navigate, but once you hit up the forums you'll find these guys know all the details.

BTW, I doubt it has 14cc more. I think someone rounded up to the nearest whole cubic inch (rounded up to 50 cubic inches), which translated into cc (a smaller more precise unit of measurement) gave that extra 14cc. I owned a 2004 VZ-800 (now M50) briefly, these are and have always been 805cc engines as far as I know.

When you're ready to buy the service manual let me know.

the 14cc difference seemed pretty weird to me too, I have found the info on 2 websites... what could cause such a difference?
thanks for the hint on the other forums!

One site was looking at the bike as 50 cubic inches (815 cc or something), the other was looking at it as the more realistic 49.12 cubic inches (805cc) which is accurate. They don't advertise it as a 49 cubic inch bike, they advertise it as a 50 cubic inch bike. C50, M50, S50, they're all 805cc, which is 49... cubic inches.

I ride a 2007 C50 and have found this site to a MUST register.

    www.volusiariders.com

The Volusia became the C50 in 2005 or something like that.

There is no difference between the two other than some but not all 2009 models have two spark plugs depending on production date and all are 805cc
Good bikes with a proven history and still rank at the top of the middle weight class.

( for the congrats, not the suggestion obviously )

as for the manual... I appreciate the offer but I already have a PDF copy

now I'll have to wait for warmer weather to get back on the saddle and see how I will adjust to the heel-toe shifter!

Each to their own but, I'd hit up Adri for a crack at the manual over a PDF on a computer or print and having in garage. Just makes things easier when you roll up the sleeves. But, the Internet and such are good alternatives of finding the info you are looking for. Just saying for someone like myself, I prefer a slightly oil stained, dog eared manual for tinkering in the garage. I can always seem to find it. I don't know what the price is but, even when I paid a HD Dealer cost, I still found it the best money I spent outside of the bike and gear.

PS. Excuse my manners, congradulations on on the new ride. They are nice rides.

    Cheers.

Only $20. Know what you mean about the H-D manuals, $60+, ugh!

    thanks nakkers!

I hear you on the greasy manual, I still have the one for my good old silverwing. served me so well ... and somehow it still is in one piece!

But I can have both PDF and manual can`t I?
not to mention that if I print, I don't have to care about messing it up with a nice oil/grease spatter

good thing the lady doesn't care about the garage being too clean
