still pretty good. Might have some boarding friends interested. I'll ask them tomorrow.

I got a member here telling me 10+ people and we can score a GoPro Motorsport edition which is actually the expensive version with the little toys. Price $260 each (tax/shipping included). So far, this is the best price I've seen.
And for boarding would be amazing! My goals to record mainly snowboarding in 3D! =)
Sweet. Lets see if you can get a better deal with more people. Have you tried contacting the actual company and not dealers?

Yeah I have.
GoPro HD Naked Hero = GPS City is $209 + tax and shipping isnt that bad. Claims they can probably work a deal on shipping (but we'll have to wait and findout).
GoPro HD Motorsport = GTAM member is $260 (tax + shipping inluded) But this if for 10+ people. If we score more people (say 40), possibility to get it lower is likely suppose?.
They're both the same thing except one just had a bit more tools with it such as that suction cup, etc. I'm mainly doing 3D so, I dont need the suction cup's and all that.
So I'll add you to the list. I think the difference between these two will be like 10-15 bucks. So if people want to spend that extra $10-15, we'll probably opt in for the motorsport edition that comes with a few more tools to mount it to places. Meh
Definitely worth the 10-15 bucks to have all the stuff. I will let you know if I need more than one in a few days or so.

Count me in
Interested but NOT committed have to consider the HD Contour as well.
Have subscribed to the thread, will wait and see where the interest is going?

I have an older model Hero Wide, with all the mounts. This group buy is perfect for me. All I want is the new version of camera.
The naked version. Count me in. I use mine for snowboarding, and on my motorcycle.
cheers

Are you for real? You have to consider a Contour next to a GoPro?!
I dont know if I should take that offensive or just fix you up. But let me give you a word of advice from someone in the tech life, Contour doesn't even belong in the same ring. My 2 cents. Hopefully you'll also make a wise choice in the future and buy a GoPro also if you don't choose to join this one.
$210 + tax and shipping is a great deal. I have dealt with gpscity, they are really great people.

Hey Jag_V4Ape can u update with the naked version for me on the list
And again it depends on price.
Also again spare batteries are almost a must

are we talking about this model?
It is already pretty cheap.
I might just order mine now at that price.

Have any of the GTA-M sponsors contacted you? I would like to think they would be able to help.
Is it wise to post your group buy idea in the "dealer/vendor" section and see who wants to get involved?
The list is for all Naked versions apparently for now. Unless the same price + different model is offered.
But this list is only for those 100% certain they'll be in on the deal. I dont want people backing out and giving a bad name to the GTAM community. So if you want out, do let me know. Depends on the price most certainly means you want it to be super cheap. Right now, it's at $209 + tax + small shipping fee. It may drop $10 bucks later (who knows), but, you have to be ready to set aside the price I've listed.
Thats the model. But why not wait and save $10 bucks or more on it? It'll come out to $260 if you order now I believe. It's still not 100% final on what GPS City can do if we throw a large number, but I'm sure shipping cost would also drop for us. Tax here in Canada is inevitable so yeah. :P
