No New GSXR 1000 For 2011?

This is all "here-say", but word on the street is there is no new GSXR 1000 for this year.

A new GSXR 1000 will be released last quarter of 2011, which will be the 2012.

Reason being, the recession has forced them [Suzuki] to re-think R&D, and as such, they are extending revamping the bikes every three years over the usual two years.

So the complete revamp of the K-9 will be the GSXR 1000 'til and through 2011:

Makes sense to me. Why dump newly remodeled GSXR 1000's on dealers that no one can afford to buy?

Not really hearsay as Suzuki themselves said there will be no new 1000 for 2011 but that the 2012 model will be released early. Although they do say it will be "awesome" so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully they put it on a diet and also put some of the power back in the midrange like the '05-06 models.
