Tech Requirements?

Gonna head to the drag strip at Cayuga this friday with a friend. What are the things they look for in tech?

Can I run coolant?
Tire is down to the wear bar, is that something they look for? (After all ppl run slicks dont they?)
What kind of gear do they require?
Any other useful info?

Motorcycles on the Dragstrip:
Equipment Requirements:

~Helmet
~Leather jacket or equivalent mandatory for all riders (2 piece suits may be joined by zipper at waist)
~Leather boots/shoes which rise above the ankles
(all motorcycles 10.99et+ 120mph+ requires 40.1-2 suit or full leathers)

Technical Requirements
Manadatory

~Front and rear breaks
~Chain Guard
~Clutch Covers
~Snap Back Throttle

Thanks, I read that part though.

What I was looking for were the questions they dont list there. Coolant I'm pretty sure you can run, the tires I'm not sure.

As for gear, I have a 2 piece but it doesnt zip together at the waist...but I've heard of them letting people run in jeans still?

why would you want to run on a tire that's unsafe?

Slicks are designed without tread and come with depth markers that perform the same function as your wear bars.

The manufacturer put that mark there for a reason.

its called "run what you Brung"

any coolant (green) is fine
tires ok (lower your tire pressure to 26-29...remember to reinflate after at the gass station)
suit is fine (but why would you not have them zip together for Safty anyway)
boots that cover the ankle

all these are THE MINIMUM.....full track gear is best)

Tire still has tread left down the middle, its just down to the indicator.

ahh, guess I gotta wait till this weekend to get my tires and try again next week.
