    Ridge Road Gravel

On Ridge road east of wolverton, its all gravel for about 1km but switches back to asphalt. A little further west on the bridge, it goes from pavement to gravel and comes up really fast. Its right in the braking zone before the 2 long sweepers so be careful.

Thanks for this, I live and ride near there frequently.

That did come up quick last week- good pic of it too. At least you can see it cominf from this direction... I forgot about it on the way back and just got the bike stood up in time at a spirited pace.

    Re: Ridge Road Gravel

Yep, there's gravel there alright. Lots of it. Very dusty too.

Glad my normal route takes me from West to East. I feel for any unsuspecting East to West riders who are nailing it around that last curve and up into the gravel on the bridge.

For anybody not familiar with the area and riding from West to East, I suggest taking a detour down (left) at the Woolverton hill, riding along Hwy 8, then back up on Mountain Rd, and hanging a left at Ridge Rd, to continue onto your route.
