I was through there last friday and it was only in the town. The rest of the road was ok. Is that still the case?

I was planning on heading up there soon going north on Essonville Rd and then back down 648 to 503. I will not be going north up Elephant lake Rd.
On my last trip up there it was only in the town of Wilberforce that was gravel, once you got outside the town the roads were fine. Is that still the case?

Roads are fine outside of the town limits, but within Wilberforce they are loose/packed gravel. No big deal as ample warning is given.

I drove thru there today in my work truck. Do not go past Elephant Lake Rd...it starts around 12km past Harcourt on Peterson Rd and then most of the way towards Maynooth. It is heavy gravel with some kind of tar...it was flying off my truck tires at 40kmh...I wouldn't take my car on that road let alone a bike! My truck had a vibration all the way back to Barrie...tons of gravel stuck in the treads.

If you are on Elephant lake rd turn around when you start noticing all the tar streaks on the pavement and an alternative route over to Maynooth from that area is 648 to South Baptiste lake road which comes out on 62 north of Bancroft.
