Cant answer a question like this. It depends on the slidersd some are no cut some are cut. Difficulty is about as difficult as cutting a 2" hole in plastic. Trick is getting it in the right place

Just wondering what kind of cutting is required to install frame sliders on a 2006 GSX-R 750...
it would be appreciated if anyone could post some pics. of what it looks like after the installation, Just so I could get an idea... thanks in advance.

I refuse to cut my fairings. There are tons of no cut sliders available that are very good quality. I have motovation sliders.
you'll want to cut a 2"+ 1/8 hole, but ive been using a 2-1/4 inch hole saw to do cut flaring holes.
there are tons of techniques you can use to get the centre of the hole just right.
I'd suggest taping any painted surfaces

No cutting required - LSL, or Motovation.
I've crash tested the LSL, and trust me, they do work

I am of the opposite thought camp.
A frame slider is strongest if bolted directly to the frame, not on some triangulated bracket 6" from the frame or motor mounts.
Plastic is plastic, and I don't really care if it has to be cut. Just do a nice job, glue on a trim ring around the hole (the ones for running computer wires thru an office desk leave a very nice finish and are a perfect fit around frame sliders), and leave the sliders on, even when you sell it. As long as the hole has a slider in it, no one will dislike the looks of the hole.
See link to my buddy's install pic: It looks like Honda installed them from the factory.
