That was my budget last year and that got me a seat in the truck pulling the trailer. Other people found their own way down, but last year was an odd one bcause one guy drove his family, two guys flew in due to work pressures, one guy dragged his toy hauler and a couple of others ran their own smaller trailers. Everyone who needed a seat got one. I think there may have been an extra couple of seats as well. This year, if the plan comes to fruition you may find two trailers dragging 14 bikes with a passenger mini van or two riding shotgun. How the final bills would be divided up would be decided beforehand so everyone had a good idea of what their outlay was. It's a 20+ hour drive including food and **** stops. Trust me, no one with a bike on the trailer will be left to find their own way down if it can be avoided. We all want to get down there together and as cheaply as possible!! Oh, and bear in mind, my $800 included my beer bill which was higher than most/everyone else.

I heard its still pretty cold in february at jennings. Is there anyone that can speak to the weather of norhtern florida in feb?

I might be in, if bike tech is loose, and if they let cripples on track. If so I will have space for at least 2 bikes besides my own.

I have raced Daytona a few times. Thats early March most times its 70-80 F one year you needed mittens. Daytona is a couple hours south of Jennings. Why dont you guys time it with Bike Week?

Again, trailers fees will be approx $250 - 275 per rider. Final details wont start coming down the wire till at least mid october now.

As for the weather, this year was freakishly cold. Normally the temps are 18 - 20 degree's ..

Keep in mind that even at 10C that track has wicked grip. Elky was going knee down all over the place during the first session with brand spanking new tires, no warmers and it was around what? .... 5-6C. It was so cold I had to pull in because I had excessive snot.... that's how cold it was. We never had traction problems there. Late Feb the average temp is 20C.
