Hmmmm ... I'm probably in, can I bring a guest?

Yep, we're doing another trip down to Jennings in Florida in Feb again.
All the details are still being worked out, but we are looking at doing 2 or 3 days down there. Feb 19 - 21 st are the dates being talked about now ..
We could have 2 big trailers heading down this time, which means we could accomodate approx 15 bikes.
Just throwing it out there to see who may be interested .. again details are being worked out and hope to have details finalized by no later than Oct 1st.
**Update**
We now have 2 trailers confirmed heading down. We shold be able to take 17 bikes down.
Each rider is responsible for his track registration and accomodations. We also have a deal through a nearby hotel at $55 (US) a night.
Mandatory will be medical insurance for each rider.
If you have a spot on the trailer, ensure you have a way down to Florida as well.
The one truck will be taking bikes/gear only .. my truck will be doing the same but with 3 people in the cab.
As for costs, trailer costs right now are approx $250 - 275 per rider. Total cost for the trip would be approx $800 since people keep asking.

details on what it's going to cost? Cash is a little tight but i have a feeling i'll find a way, there's no way i'm going to survive a whole winter without riding.

I'd be interested, as long as I can get some trailer space.
I know admission is $325, but where would we be lodging? Cost is a big factor for me.
Where we stayed last year it was pretty darn cheap and I had no issues with the accommodations.... I can't speak for others. If you split the room with 2 or 3 other peeps.... it's very affordable.
can you give a ballpark $ figure of the entire trip?

For those pm'ing me and asking what its gonna cost ...
Well its $325 for the track time .. than you will have accomodations, fuel, food etc.
I would ball park it and say you would be in the area of $700 per person.

Edit... Inferno beat me to it.... but we are in the same ballpark..... I just kept round up.
Now if we do that it doesn't sound like a wise investment.
It's less stress if you pay for the trackday a few months in advance.... save up a bit of cash.... pay for the food and gas on the way down and put the hotel on the Visa card and worry about it the month after.
Sorry I can't say since I took my whole family down. But ..... I'll give it a rough go.
I get the prices of the different hotels mixed up, but say.... $65/night.... divided by 3 peeps over 3-4 nights...... so say $100 for that.
3-something for track time
100 for hotel
100 for trailer costs
100 for gas
After food and stuff.....$800.... or so.... maybe a bit less if we get a group discount for the trackdays or if you have a trailer...

I'd be happy at $200.
Did you guys buy medical insurance for your last trip? Just came to mind.

thats a more realistic figure for trailer costs, you should have seen my eyes light up when someone suggested 100 dollars lol unless something terrible happens to me between now and when you announce costs, ill be finding a way to make this happen.

If my memory serves it was just under $600 for the track time, hotel and gas/trailer down there. On top of that you've got to get your bike to the trailer the day before then all your food and track gas while you're there then picking your bike up once we're back in the GTA. For the guys saying that $200 is their max what are we supposed to do if it goes over $200? Drop you off in Kentucky on the way home? I know last year I spent around $800 on all the above and that was with 4 nights hotel. Some guys stayed the 5th night and took longer to drive home. This year there may be a 5th night for everyone. I know the drive home was an absolute killer and we managed to break it up because we left early on the Monday afternoon.
Unfortunately it costs what it costs.
Spineless swines. Cemented minds.
Pussies, breaking up the drive back! I think this year I'll hotel it instead, the amount of gas I went through towing the toyhauler back and forth didn't offset hotel costs at all.
