i havent plated my bike yet... i ride at my parents farm when i go to visit once a month.. its a 3hr drive...

i do, but i get permission from the farmers first.
Go to Raglan just off train tracks there is a dirt patch running to a huge sand pit. Place is packed during weekend but open during the week.
this is the type of places im looking for.. i'd rather have permission to ride.. but i dont want to just pull into some farmers driveway and say " hey i live in the city, can i ride on your field?"
most people would look at me like im some delinquent from the city looking to cause trouble and tear up their land.
if anyone is going out to do some field riding, and have permission please let me know..
i will tag along..
Gas is on me..
if your plated were going to turkey point next saturday, see the thread about it for info
I have a question about the Raglan pits. Would I be able to take a pick up truck there (fully road legal) and do some doughnuts? Is the enforcement there mostly for unplated / uninsured vehicles?

You are not allowed in the pits or any of the surrounding trails at all. If caught, you'd probably get a trespassing fine. The HTA applies to Boundary Rd. and Byers Rd.

So Boundary Rd and Byers Rd are legal roads then? They're not private?

Yeah, taxes suck! If you don't transfer the ownership over ASAP, you risk running into trouble though... I believe you have a set period of time you can change ownership over - i've never left it long enough to find out what happens if you wait to long! You might just have to "get" another receipt with today's date or something...

You only have 6 days to change ownership I believe.
where do you guys get your insurance from for the dirtbike?
im having a hard time finding someone to insure it.. everywhere i go only does 4,6,8 wheel off road vehicles.
