    Re: Monday,September 6th - Newbie Ride

I'll likely be available until the evening tomorrow, so if you've got a time/place in mind let me know.

If you're bored, you could ride straight up Woodbine or Warden and head up to Jackson's Point or something. I turned back before reaching there, but it was one of the first "long" rides I did when I first got the bike, and all M1-friendly roads along the way. No twisties or anything really all that interesting though, until you get up to the lake area...

Sadly, for all the riding I've done, I have never really gone out of my way to find any twisties or "scenic" areas.

Possibly up for this, let us know when and where the ride will start and we will go from there.

Any of you guys have Scala headsets by any chance? This would make communicating easier, other than just using the basic hand signals etc...

If I wind up tagging along, I have a Scala G4 and GPS on the bike, will be able to assist with directions if need be.

Kind of humorous - I believe at least 3 of us are riding new-gen blue Ninjas (2 2010's and an '09, I believe?) What are the others riding?

Should be good dude. Might be tight on the 2 hours, just means we ride a lil faster. Haha

    Hey folks,

Stupid me, never thought to take any pics on the ride itself, but here's a few pics from the pre-ride meetup.

Was a fun ride, and although I hadn't originally intended on leading, I look forward to heading up some more in the near future. If anyone has any comments/advice regarding the ride, please feel free to PM me or post here.

Thanks man. Other than to/from work, I usually ride Thursday nights after 8ish, and am available all day Mondays and Fridays; weekends after around 6 mostly.

I'm thinking of doing something next weekend as well, have to see what the forecast holds.

    Hey guys!

Thanks for the ride(or half-ride for me)

I am a total newbie,it was my 3rd time on a bike, so I couldnt handle the wind properly on the 80km road,it was pushing me off road, so I had to slow down and turn around

I hope you guys had safe ride and tons of fun

AgentX,thanks for leading and others thanks for sweeping

    See you'll at another ride

A ride around the lake area would be fun. I've been thinking of doing a random ride up to the Kawartha/Minden area for some Kawartha Dairy ice cream. Maybe we can do that next week/soon? Will be a significantly longer ride though, approximately 3hrs each way, could be more.
