Good vid IMO, I like the tunes but you kept the engine sound too.

BTW I would suggest you avoid crossing into the oncoming lanes through corners. It can become second nature and then you do it through a blind corner without realising it and WHAM you get a semi in the face. Or even just clipping a side view mirror can do a lot of damage.

Besides, it's more fun to lean a little more than to straighten out the corner.

You do know he was in the wrong lane - right?

A progressively faster video from the summer. (best seen at 480p)

There was no traffic, someone was letting him know he had an "all clear" and so he was just practicing cornering.... practicing different lines on different bikes. I don't see what the big deal is. It is a good thing to get it on camera too, because then he can look at it and learn. To the OP.... if you want to stay in your lane make sure you don't turn in too early. That's one of the biggest reasons why people crash.

On a separate note... crossing a single/double yellow isn't illegal and in some cases it can give you a better view before corner entry.... just don't do it on the apex or corner exit of a blind turn.... that could hurt.

EDIT -> DJ... Was that a Speed3? Where did you mount the camera?

In what case can it give you a better view? Wouldn't wide and late entry give you a better view in all cases?

It actually is illegal, or could be interpreted in this context - before a corner/curve - within 30 meters.

In the case of The Forks, that was my first time there. It's a tough corner...I'm glad I got to see my crappy riding skills on video. I learned from it and maybe someone else can too. Peace!
    New to me for 2012.

30 meters from a bridge viaduct or tunnel ... if you can't see through it or 30 meters from a railway crossing regardless of whether or not you can see. The curve bit is wishy washy at best.... it just has to do with visibility, it doesn't have to do with the distance.

Now as far as crossing the centre line for better view... yes a wide entry is best, hence I'm talking about right hand turns... it becomes a SUPER wide/late entry. Yes crossing the centre line on a left hand blind corner would be SUPER dumb.

So I ask again... was that a Mazda 3 by any chance? Where did you mount the camera? The footage looks nice and stable..... good filming.... and driving too.

Nice.... Mazda 3 GT with suspension upgrades. I was thinking your suspension had to be stiffer.... hence me asking about the Speed3.

I wish mine had the power of the speed3, but I much prefer my suspension now.
