Friday, Aug 27: Cayuga Drag Racing

I am thinking of heading to Cayuga (http://www.torontomotorsportspark.co...x.html?p=flash) on Friday [correction Wednesday Sept 1] for a little drag racing.

The weather looks good (dry and cool!!)

Anyone interested? $20 to race, $10 to watch.

What are the Gear requirements at TMP for Drag racing a bike?

Guys. It is a big osca race there this weekend. It will be very busy fri night and you will get not many passes. Just so you know

What are the Gear requirements at TMP for Drag racing a bike?

I've seen people running in jeans and street shoes before. I think it really depends on the night.
If you've got shoes that cover the ankle, jacket, gloves, helmet and textile/leather pants you'll be fine.

I am not sure, I wear full gear.
I have seen guys at the track with only jackets, gloves, and boots.

I didn't think anyone would try to go track their bike without atleast a textile Jacket and riding pants.

I used to go there a lot with some of my cars and a few times there would be a slippery spot about 1/8th or sooner down the track and the tries would just spin. (My cars weren't even very fast)

I'd hate to hit something like that on a bike.

Yes yes, the previous post answered it.

I was just clarifying that I was asking if they required full racing gear....not just street gear.

The answer that they sometimes allow jeans is surprising.

Tech Guy tonight should be "Ray" -- he's cool on moderate attire (as long as your bike isn't under like 11.00 -- Tell Ray - "the Doctor" says hi .......he knows me....
