If you are buying a car from a dealership I am sure the salesperson would have no problem to come and pick you up, it is not like he isn't getting a commission from the sale.
Also if buying a car I am sure going all the way to montreal to buy a car it has to be worth minimum $5,000 or at least I am assuming, $5,020 won't make a big difference.
But take the first advice and get the dealership to pick you up. But I would go see Agave, he is pretty cool for a french guy.
Cheers,
Nas

Awesome, let me know what time to pick you up then!
ohh wait, were you joking?
Cause i was gonna let you drive mine first, too bad 4u i guess.
PS> Are you buying from Boisvert? I'm just asking cause all 4 dealerships are owned by him and his son is one of my best friends.
Tell the salesman to come pick you up at the metro.
I love you too my terrorist friend !
Thanks for the advice guys!
I'm not actually buying the car lol.
It's a Mazda 3 that someone in Winnipeg bought. Don't ask because I don't know. She sounded french anyway. So I'm going there to pick it up, and then driving out to Winterpeg. I'm moving there Otherwise if I was buying it would be local and I wouldn't have this thread up.
I could visit with Agave for a few mins but I'm on a bit of a time constraint. Hence the reason I would like to bypass bus routes and subway, because it will take nearly 2 hours.
On Monday I am calling the dealership to arrange everything and I will ask if I can get a lift from them. The salesman's name is Stephane Breard, if that helps.
So the dealership doesn't want to pick me up. Nice bunch they are. Almost as helpful as a couple of the posters in here.
And I don't feel like spending 2 hours in transit to get somewhere that takes half an hour by car.
Getting there at around 4, means I wouldn't be at the dealership til at least after 6, and that won't fly. I need time to inspect the car myself, and also I'm on a schedule.
I like how everyone is saying "Pay for a cab you cheap ***" When if they were in the same situation they'd be hoping for the same thing.
Mmm, Toronto Motorcycles
Here is what we did when I was in school when the subway stopped at 2:00 AM.and it worked 25 years ago. We'd go to Pizza Pizza and order a Pizza to be delivered to our home address, when the Pizza was ready, we'd ask if we could go along for the delivery and they usually said no problem.
"Gee, I wish we had one of them doomsday machines."

Where can i get a black and yellow screwdriver set like that Ritchard?
Those look sweet.
For those who are curious, a taxi ride from Guy Concordia to where I'm going would be around $70... So who here would pay that much to go pick up someone else's car?
Cheap cab eh?
Meanwhile I'm getting a ride from Toronto to Montreal for only $35... Just a little price comparison for you lovely folks who think I'm too cheap for a cab.
I'd gladly give $10-15 to a member for the ride over and a coffee, before I pay nearly $70 for a cab and tip them. I kinda need the money for gas on my trip, so saving money is the plan here. I could probably spend less than $10 on public transit, but the 2 hour travel time doesn't exactly justify it. I need to be there before the dealership closes so I have substantial time to look the car over.
So thanks to those who like to jump to the conclusion that "He must be too stupid to figure out he can just take a cab... Call the waaaahmbulance because he's too cheap" You would probably want to find the cheapest way possible, so don't be the pot calling the kettle black.
you wanted the cheapest way possible...take public transit (but yet you can't wait 2 hours)
but you can justify wasting a members time/gas for $10 and a coffee?
Very Nice...
I'm just saying...maybe a forum member might help you out for $10....
