Ride to BARRY'S BAY Saturday Aug 14th!!

Ok Barry's Bay area for those who don't know- Great roads -Great fun!
I will not posting the route, but hey feel free to send me a PM for more details.

Pace will be moderate- not too slow otherwise we wont enjoy those beautifull roads.

Ride will start at Thickson/Taunton (Esso gas station) in Whitby this Saturday at 9:00am SHARP!
I'll be there at 8:50am

All fun roads lots of twisties- 3 gas stops with a short break and lunch.
You can fill up your tank right there at the gas station (meeting spot)

But I live in richmond hill so I was wondering I could just meet you at a gas station along the 400 since were going north anyways? Sorta a mission for me to come whitby then back up north lol

Well the ride it is this way north/east - so the best way is to take the 401 east to Whitby.

i'm probably in for this as long as the group doesn't get too big. Huge groups are not only heat scores but when it's a pile of people you dont know the odd's of an incident are just way too high.

For everyone on the ride, be careful.
I did these roads a few years ago and the number of drunken drivers crossing double yellows turned me off..

im sure we will. I'm still in as long as the weather isn't miserable which the weather network is promising it will be (but we all know how much faith to put in that). If not the following sat works for me too, as long as we dont end up with too big of a group. Riding with 10+ people that i dont know makes me way too nervous.

The weather people are usually always wrong....so let's hope this weekend is one of them ...ha ha!! Why be nervous just enjoy the ride and if you don't feel comfortable you can always be the last one in the group.

last works as long as no one is really slow :P There are waaay too many people who ride over their heads and are sketchy as hell. Having a group of 10 people where 3 are sketchy is a recipe for disaster, but by the same token there are few things more enjoyable then riding with a group of people who really understand the group ride concept. I just prefer to ride in groups of 4-5 people max unless i already know most of everyone, far less chance of incidence.

I'm definitely hoping they are wrong!

Ok guys i just checked the forecast for tomorrow and it looks like a beautiful day, so tomorrows ride is a GO!!!! Who ever decides to come, make sure you be there before 9 o'clock, because I will leave right on time. Its happened in the past, where we have left people behind. So pls DON'T BE LATE!!
