He's out of ICU now but still not cleared to be transferred to Toronto.
both wrists broken
2-3 ribs broken
plus internal injuries
Surgery will be needed but it's not certain if that will happen in Thunder Bay or wait until he's in Toronto.

THANKS ALL!!!!!!!!
Hard to believe, but this old fart is still alive!!!!
I've been told that there were 4 moose on the road when I came through, hitting and killing 1.
Had on my full gear, pictures will follow. The first 3 people on the scene were nurses! What luck for me!! I was told that when they loaded me in the chopper that they were giving me a 50/50 chance. After emerg., they uped that to 75%.
OK, my injuries;
broken right wrist
broken left baby finger
6 broken ribs, top 3 front right, top 3 back left
broken left scapula
broken sternum
damaged kidney, spleen, and something else in there
bruised heart
hole in left lung (no flying for 4-6 months)
bruising all over my back and shoulders
NO SURGERY,NO STICHES!!!!!!
I should be coming back to Toronto Aug, 29-30.
2 days of driving shouldn't be too bad.
Thanks again for all the well wishes...
Wayne.

Glad to hear that youre ok and in good spirits. When you can hit a Moose and post of GTAM a couple weeks later you definitely know you have a guardian angel.
Ride smart.... live to ride another day
Broken left baby finger... OUCH, that's gotta smart!!!
Seriously though, glad to hear you are on the mend and hope you have a full recovery.
