    Under 25: 1000CC rates

Anyone under 25 riding a 1000cc or over?

    What do you ride?
How much do you pay for insurance?
    What company are you with?
What type of coverage do you have?
How long have you been riding and what license?

    Re: Under 25: 1000CC rates

Insurance will be astronomical for the under 25yo crowd. Quite likely, the only company that will even consider them (aside from the Facility Association) is State Farm, provided they have been licensed on a car for 5+ years and have their full G license.

The only alternative is to get an older litre bike (i.e. 1995 or older) since these are not surcharged by Jevco and many other insurance providers.

OP, if you are trying get an idea for yourself, I suggest that you simply walk in to a State Farm agency and get a quote on a litre bike of your choosing. For a newer bike, no other insurance company will even come close.

the SV1k will be a bargain compared to the rest, that reason alone should have helped sales... alas...

I should have been more specific. If you are looking for a 1000CC+ CRUISER, then that is a completely different story. Insuring an 1800cc Goldwing shouldn't be a problem at all.

i was looking into a zx10....it was $2500 year for comprehensive for me, im 23.

    a 636/750 was $2059...

    a 600 was $1600

i was going to get a zx10, but its hard to a affordable one, around the 5k mark.

636 are easier to find + find parts for + components for

the only reason i'd even consider collision is the 'hit and run' incidents

I was paying $1800 for a 929 back in 2004. I was 25. I guess those sort of prices are a dream come true nowadays!

How do you pull that off, is it under someone elses name? Or is AIG a little known secret, because I pay a grand more than that on a 600 and it's not like woodbridge is up in the boonies or anything.

I've never heard of AIG providing Auto/Bike insurance in Ontario before. Can you provide a link to the company and/or the broker/agent you are dealing with?

Is the bike insured under the company, or under a personal policy?

Nacora Insurance is my broker, Larry Blatt being my agent... great guy, been doing business with my father for many years.

Bike and policy are both under my name

VifferFun, from your experience- is my rate good/competitive?

And you're positive that your pink slip says "AIG" on it?

Given your age, it almost seems too good to be true If your rate doesn't drop significantly at 25yo, you should shop around though.
