Caribana - Friday Night Younge Street Ride.

Hey Riders,

It's that time of year again... Caribana weekend is fast approaching. We'll be cruising to downtown toronto with a final meeting place in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. We'll chill there for a quick break then we'll need to move up one block north to Edward steret for a final parking spot.

A similar ride was done last year and the turnout was huge! There will be TONES of eye candy for everyone. Bring your posing outfits! If your an attention seeker this ride will be for you!

Location:

5451 Hwy 7 just east of martin grove road, Vaughan .Tim Horton's parking lot. It's adjacent to the Honda\Infinti\Nissan dealerships.

Time: Meet between 7:30pm - 8:00pm. Leave 8:05pm Sharp. The route will take us just under an hour.

We'll leave no one behind the moment we enter the hwy. If anyone gets stuck at lights before we enter we will pull over to the side if it's safe to do so.

Restrictions: M1 riders will technically not be allowed as this meet will be up until after sunset but you are still welcomed. It's your license not mine :P. Also the route will involve riding on the 400 series highway's.

I really didnt want to but I guess I'll step up to the plate.

Please throw out some options for a central meeting location.

The route would be east along lakeshore along queens quay then north on on younge to younge\dundas in front of hard rock cafe where we pose.

I'm still thinking of a meeting place that would be convinent for everyone.

ANy ideas? Last year there were about 30 bikes travelling up young street. It attrated alot of attention and not from cops all the ladies.

Hamilton is my last name. The ride will not start there lol. Most probably SQ1, Bramalea City Center, Possibly somewhere along HWY 7 close to hwy 427.

I'll try to make the meeting location close to a highway, gas station, and food.

Last year a member organized the same ride. I don't think he's a member anymore. I remember counting 30+ bikes and it was nuts. Everyone was reving their engines at the stop light it attrated so much attention. Cops didnt bother them.

Anyways, I didn't have a bike last year it was when I had my M1. But I remember being down there and being jealous that I couldnt ride. Now I got my own 2 wheels so I can attend!!!!

As I mentioned before I'll create a route in the downtown area so we can get some cruising done and then end up at the Cafe.

Could be a East/West ride then south then Lakeshore then north, you know two meeting points so we gather more ppl

I have come up with 2 locations.

Option 1: 100 City Centre Drive in Mississauga by the Tim Horton's parking lot. This parking lot is huge and could accommodate a large group (if needed).

Option 2: 5451 Hwy 7 just east of martin grove road, Vaughan .Tim Horton's parking lot. It's near Honda\Infinti\Nissan dealerships. This is a slightly smaller parking lot.

Option 3: Any ideas?

Please let me know which one you guys prefer. Let's try to have the meeting place set in stone by Tuesday\Wednesday.

Time: Tentatively set for 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Leave 7:35 Sharp.

Um well, I have had other experiences with cops during rides on caribana weekend. They checked to see if we had flip plates, checked our papers, warned us about reving our bikes etc.

A few years ago I got 4 tickets in 20mins. I avoid the cops at all costs during this time of year.
