    Re: Helmets

As a newer rider on a cruiser I thought about going to the open face helmet.

The guys at Parker Bros. convinced me to try it with the visor up/off and see if I could handle the noise (It's a 750 Shadow with aftermarket pipes) and the wind.

Needless to say, I have not bought an open face or beanie yet.

Highly recommend the full face helmet.

How can you "Highly recommend the full face helmet" having never tried any other type?

    Re: Helmets

I tried my current full face without the visor on.

Even that limited amount of wind noise and engine noise I found annoying on a long haul.

Therefore, I recommend the full face.

Here is pic of the N43, and all the different combinations you can have with it.

Open face on the 401 isn't alotta fun but at speeds up to 100k its not bad at all. (without sitting behind a windshield)

It is DOT approved and is actually ECE approved as a full face with chin bar in place across the pond.

    Would you recommend being rich?

If so, please send me all your money so you can try being poor.

Just had to call you on that one.

I would get the safest helmet you can, in the proper size. You're a biker - who gives a flying #@$ what other people think or say.

<--- What do you think? Works with a cruiser? I'm probably going to upgrade from a GS500F to a cruiser next year when I get my M.

What if they compliment you? Do you still give them the "mind your own business" glare?
