    Toronto Police Power Trip

Be careful next time you blow bubbles - you might be arrested for assault. This happened at the G20:

Ok,back on topic.A cop is on duty at a line you can't cross. You do something to get in the cops face and expect to walk away?Boo hoo. This stuff is just dumb. It's as nonproductive as creating a petition to pass on to an mpp.

I work in a "high stress" environment (sales) and if an irate customer yells in my face, that is not an excuse for me to lose my professionalism. Especially considering how well-paid Toronto police are.

Me too, I work under stress but I don't become a rude jerk with people, why are cops allowed to get away with this? If a cop talks like King Kong to you just get his badge number and report him, also get your friends to report him if they are with you on the spot.

Yep, all you need to do is say the wrong thing, in the wrong place, at the wrong time and they will put you in a world of hurt just for the fun of it. Biggest gang in the world.

Thumbs down Re: Toronto Police Power Trip

Culturally, Toronto, much like it's cops has an inferiority complex and it is evident here in both the level of passive aggressive showboating antagonism on behalf of the protester to the wanna be world class SWAT cop eager to get some "action" when he is bored out of his gay shorts.

Both of these people take what they do way too seriously as they put on a show for the world as they knew it would be watching.

Her lame ***..."I am blowing bubbles to make people happy" is just a provocation and actually misses the point of what they pretend to have come to protest. I would rather see an intellectual debate with a cop who refuses to rebut recorded, cause at least it gives him no excuse to look like a monster nor does it waste all our time on laymen mind games while the real issues are debated and concluded behind closed doors.

If anything this type of distraction weakens the protesters thrust of an argument and exposes them as anarchist anti-establishment bums with no alternative solution for the masses other than hemp shoes, a simplistic "fight club" anti bank scheme, and some peace tattoos in the way of ethics and personal morality.

    COP FAIL
    PROTESTER FAIL

Except that she stopped blowing them, didn't she? So she didn't 'deserve' to be arrested... This guy was just looking for an excuse imho. The other (female) cop was chuckling at the whole thing, but when you watch the video, he seems pretty jacked up on adrenalin. I think she could have just stood there staring at him and been arrested eventually

...Then one day you realise your 'knight in shining armour' is just a retard in tinfoil.

Im sorry cop or not protester or not, if someone was blowing bubbles a foot away from my face I'd tell them off also plain and simple...

This was the G20 and a line was being held, she instigated, was told to stop, continued, got arrested. Done. Whats the big deal??

So if she was warned against breathing you'd defend the cop too? You actually believe bubbles are an assault weapon? Bubbles? BUBBLES!

C'mon, there's a pretty obvious line the cop crossed over. It's almost as if he had a bad attitude.... Naaaaaaaah, that couldn't be it.

The cop is definitely being all coppy, but that's to be expected. Most of them have power issues. What I want to know since this video went all viral and stuff is if she actually got arrested for blowing bubbles or if it was for something else. She did stop doing it, so I don't see how that was the reason. The camera has a bit of a cut there. She stopped, and then all of a sudden she's being put in the back of a van with no sense of how much time passed.

Plus, she seemed like she wanted to be arrested. My fave part, however, was her "you hurt my feelings" face. What in the frig did she expect from a cop? You can only poke a mean dog so many times until it tries to bite your hand off!

Every time the cop said "bubble" it made me giggle...
