This unit will keep your battery charged. You connect it to your battery and then plug it into the wall.

You can leave the o-ring wires connected to your battery permanently if you wish, since it includes a quick-connect harness system. If you ever have a nice winter day, simply disconnect the battery tender at the harness, and you will have full battery power to start your bike.
