If they want a professional show then they need to hire professionals and pay a few thousand dollars for it. That being said most of the shows me and my friends do are small low budget or even charity events, and dont have the kind of funding it takes to bring in a professional stunt team. Thats why they contact us amateurs

Im not planning on ever making money off stunting, some free food would be nice thou!

If you consider the inc amateur thats ok, but the other teams don't necessarily share the same view or goals. Stunt.ca are a professional team and some other Canadian teams are definetely working towards it.

Stunt.ca is Felix's full time job, they have multiple big ticket sponsors and are releasing a second dvd soon.

If Twisted Intentions didn't get their full rate, then the stunt community as a whole needs to make sure nobody rides for that promoter in the future, until he clears up with them.

I was told the promoter spent $7000 on the show, had a gate of less than $2000

Well whos fault is that? I can tell you there was 3 teams there and my team didnt charge 1/3rd of $7000. And Twisted Intentions said they didnt get payed what they asked for. So if they spent $7000 they paid one team a hell of alot more then the others...

We brought 5 riders for our price....Other teams were only 2 each....Bang for your buck you cant go wrong with StuntersINC..LOL

I didnt say anything about Stunt.ca now did I....

    My turn!

I like Felix and his buddy, they put on a great show, but they dont have the things that g4getmoney was talking about in their show. And its not really a team, Felix is more into it then any of his other buddies. Hes really got his stuff together, just not a full blown stunt team IMO..

But really why don't you consider the inc a professional team? wouldn't it be beneficial to be taken more seriously and earn a better wage?

Time and money! And also not everyone is willing to put in the same effort. I think we all have that problem....

It seems like in Canada everything comes down to liability and risk...I have talked to alot of people about marketing and managing for us, and in the end they always expect us to insure our selfs. We can not pay $20,000+ a year for a team policy to cover 5 stunt riders and 5 stunt bikes + trailer and all gear. When we havent really made a dime off it yet..And thats where the big ideas hit the wall. And theres alot more they want us to buy or pay for out of our pockets before sponsoring us

Corporate sponsors would like to put their names on our bikes, but not unless they are covered from all liability. One guy has been trying to get us a sponsor for the last year now, and this guy gets alot of racers their sponsorship. He gets alot of interest, but then the liability problem comes up and it fades away..

I dont think any of the shows we have done have proper insurance that would actually cover a stunt show accident. I could be wrong and some could have had it, but I just dont see those types of events being able to afford that kind of coverage...If it even exists

That's a really good point, liability is a huge issue.

I asked guys like Kane what they do for insurance at a shows in the US, and he says they do it like were doing it right now. Just run the show and try your best not to hurt yourself and especially not someone spectating.

There was that one show where the guy fell off the bike and it went screaming through a barrier and into the crowd. I heard that caused alot of problems for them, and they lost alot of potential events and sponsors..No company is gonna want their name on that bike..

PS you should know what its like being the only one committed to stunting, didnt you start out with your friend but he quit? I give Felix alot of credit for doing what hes doing on his own, I dont think I could do it on my own like he is...
