well, if you're coming in Sept, you may need to wait until 2011 for that ride! :P
kidding - they'll be a lot of us still on the road then. by nov everyone's off, tho - til April! you'll get plenty of time to get very, very, very good at ice hockey.

Well hello to you all!!
I have been a memeber for a while, but i have been lurking!
I think now is the time to introduce myself. My name is G and I am 27, and currently i live in Scotland (for thoese who know, or care, I live just outside Edinburgh in Fife)
Anways, on the 1st Sept me and my good lady will be heading your way to live for a year....and I cant wait!! On the negative side, i can't bring my bike.
speaking of which, here she is, a gixer 600 srad, and i love her!!
anyways, I figured that it would be good to join a forum over in my soon to be new home!! I use forums here and have always found them a great source of information, friendly banter and advice. That said, i was looking for join a forum with bikers...cause you never know, if i can land a job out your way, then a bike may well be getting bought for the summer!! Plus bikers are normally better people in general!
A bit about me; I love my bike, oddly for a Scot I love ice hockey too, play out here but not at a high level, more for fun now as i have a job that takes alot of my time (IT). I am a keen fisher too, Pike is the fish of choice.
I can't wait to come out, and hopefully get a ride out with some of you guys one day!
Cheers
G

I am neither a celt or a gers fan...not really a huge football fan, but if i am forced, it would be the mighty DAFC (Dunfermline for those not up to speed on 1st division bottlers, home town team)
thanks yetti, I was thinking much the same thing. I have driven on the other (or should i say wrong?) side of the road in europe a fair wack with work...but i wouldnt say I was totally used to it.
