this guy is a true warrior! its been barely a month after he broke his leg and he's already back on the bike. Hopefully he'll be just as competitive when he does make his official comeback! Go #46!!!

    Good for him

Valentino Rossi - The True Champion of Motogp.
    ______________________________________

Valentino Rossi tested a Yamaha YZF-R1 superbike on his regular Misano Circuit that he knows so well, on the 7th of July, 2010, setting a lap time of 1 minute, 38.200 seconds, which is some 3 seconds off his normal best lap time. This goes to show that his confidence is not lacking. It is nice to get back on a bike after such a bad injury in only 4 weeks and do a reasonable lap time without the fear of further injury. This will give Valentino Rossi the strength and determination to build up on his strength at a faster pace knowing that his touch on the bike has not been lost. As a Champion he knows very well what he is capable of . He has now become The Patient as well as The Doctor. And his determination now must be on an even higher level than before. He should only return to Motogp racing when he really feels that he is at 100% and can win races against Lorenzo his team mate. Anything less will only be a disappointement to Valentino Rossi who is a true perfectionist in Motogp that is why we all love him so much. He is a true Champion in the true meaning of the word. Without him Motogp is not the same. Lorenzo can win races when there is no real competition for him. But when he has to race against Valentino Rossi he suddenly under considerable pressure. It would be nice to see how he reacts when Valentino Rossi returns to racing and puts Lorenzo under pressure, the want to win aginst the master. Lorenzo could fall off his bike and very quickly lose enough points for Valentino Rossi to be back in favour to win the 2010 Motogp Championships. Looking forward to Valentino Rossi's return to Motogp racing and if possible in Germany, the sooner the better.

Valentino Rossi's 2009 Misano track times were as following when he beat Lorenzo last year:

    Practice 1 1'35.304 Rossi Position No.1
    1'37.869 Talmacsi Position No.17

    Practice 2 1'34.528 Rossi Position No.1
    1'37.794 Talmacsi Position No.17

    Qualifying 1'34.338 Rossi Position No.1
    1'37.091 Talmacsi Position No.17

    Warmup 1'34.894 Rossi Position No.1
    1'37.371 Talmacsi Position No.17

    Race 1'34.746 Rossi Position No.1
    1'37.019 Talamacsi Position No.14

At an average speed of 273 km/hr.

Even if he wanted to take it easy and relax for a long slow recovery, he couldn't do it! His sponsors, contracts he signed would force him to get off his *** and start recovering as fast as possible...

Still waiting for the posts that say R1 is the best bike out there since Rossi came 3 seconds close to his best lap riding the R1

BS. Pretty sure there is a clause in the contract for injuries.

Yeah but he knows its in his best interest to get better as fast as he can. While the sponsors probably cant dictate treatment, they can drop him if he takes too much time off or doesnt still look competitive.

I would agree if it were any other rider in MotoGP, but Rossi already has the fame and fortune that would not require him to rush back.

Of course there is, and it basically means once he gets injured he HAS to immediately get the best medical treatment there is and recover as soon as possible!

Rossi is going to race at Sachsenring pending the approval from the circuit's Chief Medical Officer.....crazy, just after one month..... what money and resources can do for someone!

All I can do is hope he'll be OK to race at Indy......

    Update:

Rossi has been cleared to race at Sachsenring!!!!! I am very curious as how he will do!
