2008 CBR1000 cuts out intermitently

I am thinking I might have a loose wire somewhere as my bike will shut down while riding. Any suggestions?

Check your side stand switch. It's either dirty, or it needs to be replaced. Costs maybe $8.

The only thing that I have done recently was an oil change and chain adjustment.

That was the problem with my CBR929. Took the shop two years to figure it out, only did it during hard cornering and wheelies

I took apart the kickstand sensor and cleaned it, took it for a ride and thought it was fixed and it did it again. Now I am thinking its the plugs, they have 30,000km.

Well I finally figured out the caramilk secret. It was the injectors, ran a bottle of cleaner through it and she was good to go!
For anyone with similar issues try some injector cleaner before you do anything. Hope this helps someone out.

Those bikes are notorious for cam sensors too, that could be part of the problem, but I think when they go the bike will not run at all. hopefully it was just dirty injectors...
