There used to be a guy who made tent trailers for bikes north of Belleville. Can't find him now, but here's some links

Hammerman,
Eric, who comes up to party with us at R4S pulls a good sized trailer, including a reasonable load**, using a VFR (1000 i think ?). Says it's way less intrusive than you would think.
**it included one of those 10x20,full sized car shelters. exactly what we all needed for the last 2 years. last year he even included generator, sound system and laptop to sort some huge hard drive for tunes.
ride - if you want to

Every once in a while I toy with wacked out ideas like that only to pull myself back from the brink in the nick of time.
How about a very basic aluminum framed flat bed trailer where the floor folds out to the footprint size of a generous 3 person tent?
Or, buy a ginormous tent to fit over the whole trailer? What? you say. Cut the floor out of the tent, the idea being to sleep on the trailer up off the ground and possible lake effect. Of course, to build it, you'll need a 3/8 corded drill, hacksaw and possibly numchucks to keep gawkers at bay.
I'll volunteer to be one of the num-things that keeps the gawkers at bay.
SERIOUSLY NOW, if anyone sees an add for a used motorcycle tent trailer for sale pls let me know! i would be very grateful. thanks.
found another out in BC, surrey i believe. still wants too much. anyone know of any classifieds i should check in the nearby american states? please let me know!

Honda Goldwing riders are probably the biggest users of tent trailers.Have a look at this forum.http://gl1800riders.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=29 I have loked at a lot of them, and the Cdn made "Lees-ure-lite" is on my list of best of the bunch.http://www.leesurelite.com/default.asp

i totally agree. it is light and the hardtop part makes sense to me and the set up time if 6 seconds! awesome. no messing around after a long day of riding. it is also by far the most expensive of the bunch. i will check out the site. thank you!

Contact V-twin Cycle out of Niagara Falls. I know they used to carry two different tent trailer models. The prices were UNDER $2000. I don't remember being too impressed with them, but to each their own.

http://www.sportomotoring.com/napier-sportz-pac.html Tent for 2 (1 if youre a big guy), vents well, has a rain cover, two sleeping bags and two stools. It all fits in one duffle bag, which has a bunch of straps. I can mount it to my sissybar securely enough it wont shake or move. Waterproofing works well. It got the girlfriend and I through two nights of Rain For Sight when other tents were washed away.
They got it listed for $200-$300... we paid $50-75 (craigslist). Like I said, not what you're looking for, but if the financial budget changes, this pack is a super portable much more economically friendly alternative.
Mmm, Toronto Motorcycles
well thanks for the input adri but the point is too not sleep on the ground and to be comfortable so a long mileage multi day trip would be a bit easier on the body. it protests alot now as time goes on. so a tent is really out of the question. i own a good small 3 man tent that will do the job already so i dont need another.
