    I do the same thing.

It work while your riding, but at a stop light you're screwed.

Full gear yesterday and today. It wasn't too bad yesterday, but I was killed on the 404 this morning. I woke up late and and got stuck in gridlock. Perf leather jacket and X-11 help at speed but do very little when standing still. I don't think the rad fans shut off once either...

Dipping out early to avoid the traffic tonight...

Yup, full gear always. I prefer sweating than bleeding.

Squid On the side of protection I wore sunblock and a condom, so I'm fully covered, just in case

Not a guy so I stuff my ipod in my bra.
As for gear if I'm gonna be on the highway or might be then I'd geared up.
Just hopping around town I ditch the coat.

Rode in a textile jacket, jeans, and boots today to work. VERY hot and it was only 7:30 am. Yikes!

I've still been wearing full gear, each day, since this thread started. I was tempted to forego the leather coat, but my fellow road occupants (cagers) convinced me otherwise.

Two days... two incidents of people deciding they want to share my lane instead of waiting for traffic ahead of them.

It's not bad as long as you're moving.

Two incidents in two days, maybe sharpen up your blocking positioning.

As for ATGATT debate, we should all try and wear proper protective gear, but at some point you have to draw the line, heat exhaustion can creep up un-noticed.

Agreed. I thought I was blocking pretty good, but apparently not.

Mesh jacket, jeans, gloves, helmet is the least amount of gear i'll wear.

    +1

I'll never squid. Even if the Devil himself was controlling the thermostat.

Full mesh suit over work clothes, boots and gloves.

Mesh jacket, jeans, leather mesh gloves, helmet and Doc's for me feet!

    That's the minimum.

I have a really good imagination so when I see riders in tank tops or shorts and flip-flops, my heart sinks and the 'Ouch factor' goes way up!

Atgatt for me. went out for a 20 min ride just now and sweat buckets. but it's worth it because of safety

ps. once you're covered in sweat it actually gets a lot cooler

Thumbs up Re: If you rode in full gear today...

Never be a squid. I was in full gear today. I didn't think I was going down, but I locked the front wheel and hit the ground. Just a broken turn turn signal and a few body scuffs inside my gear. Thank god for ALL protective clothing.
