Drag at t.m.p. This friday???
Hey guys, and LADIES. Just trying to get a bunch of people together to drag this Friday night at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga. Starts at 7pm end at 11pm. Cost: $20.00 for unlimited passes down the track. Let me know if your interested. Thanks!!! Weather permitting of course!!!

Depends on the night really. I was there this past Friday night and had about 12 passes.
What about Saturday?

SOAR racers get a free tech card for Fridays of our weekends. If you plan to run past dark you need to have a light on the rear of your bike. Can be as simple as a flashlight duct taped to the rear. They also require a chain gaurd, not sure why but they do.
Saturday nights are a no go. Fridays are the "test and tune" nights

Also, Wednesday nights start back up this week for 2 months. Same time as Fridays - 7pm to 11pm.

Can you still get on the strip with a bike on Saturday? I'll be there on the track Thursday and Friday, I'll be sticking around Saturday just not racing. It would be fun to do a few runs...

Yes, cdn john is right - they moved the "All bike weekend" to Aug.
You can run the dragstrip on Saturday (and Sunday) from 11am to 4pm.

i was teched without one last year. but I was wearing full leathers with race boots. most guys are just in jeans and running shoes(SMRT)
Nice, I may just have to go out and try this.
So if I'm taking my track bike then chain guard and flashlight, what about a road bike? is it the same as a track day?

no, you can just ride up on your street bike and run. as long as it isn't leaking any fluids or anything.
I went last Friday night.... got there around 9:20 or so -- and it wasnt crowded at all!!!! I lined up...did a pass, then got right back in the line up that was usually only 1 bike (or car) long and back down the track I went --
Friday nights at the strip have had some pretty decent bike turn outs...the longest wait between runs was like 15 mins...From 7 to 11 we have been able to lay down over 10 passes easily....Lets see everyone out...Great bang for your buck!!
11 to 4 on Saturday will certianly be busy if us biker guys get rained out Friday!!! lo

Hourly forecast calls for the rain stopping around 7 pm ... just in time. We'll see what happens. I'm bringing the bike anyway.
